Bill Sheppard was born in 1941 in Portland, Oregon. He received a B.A. degree from Florida State University in 1963 and a J.D. degree from the University of Florida in 1967. Mr. Sheppard has been a criminal defense attorney since his admission to The Florida Bar in 1968. The Supreme Court of Florida awarded him the Tobias Simon Pro Bono Service Award in 1985.
